You stay in control of when to convert to euros and when to withdraw to your own bank account in the SEPA area, while the regulated processing, settlement and banking are handled by third-party partners.

Does FiatFlex hold my money, and how are funds handled?

Crypto you receive is held in a wallet that FiatFlex manages on your behalf until you choose to convert and withdraw, so FiatFlex does hold those funds. Card takings are held by our regulated payment partner and paid out to your own bank account in the SEPA area. FiatFlex cannot and does not guarantee the safety of funds held by those partners; their own safeguarding and protections apply. On the technology side, data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and secure API connections, and access to certain features can require KYC/KYB identity checks plus AML and sanctions screening carried out by our partners.

Do I need to complete identity verification (KYC/KYB)?

Accepted Answer

Yes - identity verification may be required before you can access certain services. Depending on your account type this can include KYC for individuals and KYB for businesses, along with AML and sanctions screening. These checks are carried out by regulated third-party providers to help prevent fraud and meet their legal obligations. FiatFlex itself is not the regulated entity performing these checks.

How do crypto payments work on FiatFlex?

You generate a payment link or QR code, and your customer pays in a supported asset on the Solana blockchain: USDC or EURC. You keep manual control - you decide when to convert the crypto to euros and when to withdraw. Payouts are settled to a bank account in the SEPA area through regulated third-party payment and banking partners. FiatFlex does not guarantee the future value of any crypto-asset.

Are conversions and payouts automatic?

No - you stay in control. FiatFlex lets you manually decide when to convert crypto to euros and when to withdraw your fiat funds, rather than converting or paying out automatically. This gives you flexibility over timing. Conversion and withdrawal are executed through regulated third-party partners.

What are the fees for using FiatFlex?

Accepted Answer

Accepting crypto is free. Converting crypto to euros costs 1%. Card payments cost 0.5%, whether taken through Tap to Pay or through a FiatFlex payment link, charged when you are paid. Withdrawing euros to your bank account in the SEPA area is free. Third-party providers or your own bank may apply their own charges.

Can I accept fiat card payments too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. FiatFlex supports contactless Tap to Pay over NFC, so you can accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay/Wallet, and Samsung Pay. Card payments are processed by regulated third-party payment partners; FiatFlex does not store full card details. You can then withdraw your fiat balance to a SEPA-area bank account, with no withdrawal fee.

Can I sign up as a company or business?

Yes. FiatFlex supports both individual and business accounts. Business accounts go through KYB verification, which asks for your company details, registration documents and information about the people who own or control the company. These checks are carried out by regulated third-party providers before the account can accept payments.

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and secure API connections, and access to certain services can require KYC/KYB verification along with AML and sanctions screening carried out by regulated third-party providers. To be clear, FiatFlex is a technology platform and does not claim to be a bank or to hold any banking or payment licence - those regulated activities are handled by our third-party partners. We handle your personal information in line with applicable UK data-protection law (UK GDPR). No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

How fast are SEPA withdrawals?

Withdrawals are sent to a bank account in the SEPA area. Standard SEPA transfers are typically delivered by the next business day, and some receiving banks support faster settlement where Instant SEPA is available. Exact timing depends on the receiving bank and the regulated third-party partners that settle the payment, so FiatFlex cannot guarantee a specific arrival time.
